Hamilton City Council is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of capital projects in Hamilton, NZ. You will oversee planning, design, procurement, delivery, commissioning, and handover, ensuring safety, timeliness, budget adherence, and quality aligned with community outcomes.

Are you a relationship-focused Project Manager who thrives on delivering complex infrastructure projects through strong stakeholder engagement, disciplined project management, and collaborative leadership?

We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Design and Delivery team and lead the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of capital projects that help shape Hamilton's future.

This role would suit someone who brings either:

• Strong Heating Venting and Cooling (HVAC), mechanical services, or building systems expertise, or
• Extensive vertical infrastructure/building construction project management experience

and who enjoys working across technical experts, consultants, contractors, governance groups, and community stakeholders to deliver outstanding outcomes.

About the Role:

As Project Manager, you'll lead projects from planning and design through to procurement, delivery, commissioning, and handover. You'll be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the quality standards expected by Council and our community.

Success in this role isn't just about project delivery—it's about building trusted relationships, creating alignment across diverse stakeholders, and providing the structure and governance needed to successfully navigate complex projects.

What you'll do:
