Toyota in Lower Hutt is seeking a motivated Parts & Service Advisor Cadet to join our busy dealership team. You will work closely with experienced Advisors, act as the face of our service department, and help bridge the gap between customers and technicians.

You will welcome customers, listen to needs, document repair orders, communicate progress, and support service bookings. A customer‑centric mindset, clear communication, and a willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or customer-focused roles is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and stay organized.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and introduce them to the required staff, initiating the service process.
• Listen to customer needs, document repair orders, and conduct vehicle walk-arounds.
• Communicate between clients and workshop technicians to inform status.
• Ensure vehicles are returned to customers in top condition and explain work done.
• Assist with service bookings, cost estimates, and scheduling.
• Respond to questions promptly and keep customers informed throughout the visit.
• Provide a great customer experience and model exceptional service.
• Assist with dealership administration tasks including registration and license processing.
• Support technicians with parts as required.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Parts & Service Advisor Cadet to join our busy dealership team. As a cadet you will work closely with our experienced Parts and Service Advisors as the face of our service department. You will help bridge the gap between our clients and our expert Technicians.

We're looking for an individual who is enthusiastic about building confidence in customer interaction, and a passion for customer service and hospitality. Customers and customer interactions are the most important part of our business, and you would learn what's needed to be at the forefront of our Customer Experience every day!

The Position:

• Based in our Lower Hutt Branch
• Customer Greeting: Welcoming customers, introducing them to the required staff and initiatingthe service process, ensuring they feel valued.
• Consultation: Listening to customer needs, conducting vehicle walk-arounds, and accurately documenting customer repair orders.
• Liaison: Communicating effectively between clients and workshop technicians regarding vehicle repair status to ensure our customers are fully informed throughout the duration of their visit.
• Customer Experience: Ensuring all vehicles are returned to customers in top condition, explaining work performed with a customer centric outlook.
• Sales & Scheduling: Recommending necessary servicing requirements, providing accurate cost/time estimates, and managing service bookings.
• Responding to all customer questions and enquires in a timely manner and ensure the customer is well informed throughout the entire process.
• Providing a great customer experience and being a role model for exceptional customer service at all times.
• Carrying out adhoc dealership administration tasks including vehicle registration andre licence processing.
• Assisting technicians with parts as required

• Experience in a hospitality, retail or other customer-focused role is preferred but not required

• Clean and current restricted or full driver’s license
