Job summary

Macaulay Motors in Queenstown is seeking a motivated Parts Assistant to join its established dealership. You will assist customers and workshop staff with parts enquiries, identify and source genuine and aftermarket parts, and process parts orders.

This role offers a supportive team environment, Monday–Friday hours with weekends free, staff discounts on vehicles, parts and servicing, ongoing training and career development, and the chance to live and work in beautiful Queenstown.

Qualifications

• Customer service or administration experience preferred.
• Interest in vehicles and automotive industry.
• NZ driver's license.
• Ability to lift moderate weights.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and workshop staff with parts enquiries.
• Identify and source genuine and aftermarket parts.
• Process parts orders and manage stock.
• Provide accurate product information and excellent customer service.
• Maintain an organised and efficient parts department.
• Support the wider dealership team with day-to-day operations.

The Role

• Assisting customers and workshop technicians with parts enquiries and requirements
• Identifying and sourcing genuine and aftermarket automotive parts
• Processing parts orders and managing stock and inventory
• Providing accurate product information and excellent customer service
• Maintaining an organised and efficient parts department
• Supporting the wider dealership team with day-to-day operations

About You

• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Confidence using computers, including Microsoft Office
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• An interest in vehicles and the automotive industry
• A current NZ driver's licence
• The physical ability to undertake moderate lifting as required
