Job summary

SEA LIFE Kelly Tarlton’s Auckland is seeking an Admissions Host (VR Operator) to operate and promote the VR experience, actively selling VR tickets and ensuring the safe, smooth running of VR equipment while delivering an engaging guest experience.

The role may involve cross-training and supporting other departments. The ideal candidate has a passion for guest experience, strong English, weekend availability, and a friendly, proactive approach.

Qualifications

• Passion for guest experience with a focus on fun and proactive customer service, including upselling techniques.
• Previous experience in a similar role is a plus, but a desire to work in the entertainments industry is essential.
• Must be available to work on weekends.
• Excellent spoken English and confident presentation skills are required.
• Experience or knowledge about marine animals is favourable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate and promote the VR experience within the attraction.
• Actively sell VR tickets to guests and ensure safe, smooth operation of VR equipment.
• Deliver an engaging and memorable guest experience.
• Cross-train and support other departments within the attraction as needed.
