Merlin Entertainments is seeking an Admissions Host (VR Operator) for SEA LIFE Kelly Tarlton’s in Auckland on a part-time basis, Sundays to Thursdays. You will operate the VR experience, promote tickets, and ensure a safe, smooth, and memorable guest journey.

The role focuses on delivering fun, engaging experiences with a strong customer-service mindset, and may involve cross-training across departments. Weekend availability is essential and prior experience is a plus.

We are currently looking for an Admissions Host (VR Operator) to join our fantastic team at SEA LIFE Kelly Tarlton’s, Auckland on a Part-Time basis.

About the Role

All of our roles are focused on ensuring that our guests are having the most amazing experiences, and here at Merlin we have a real focus on FUN!!

The role of Admissions Host (VR Operator) is to operate and promote the VR experience within the attraction, actively sell VR tickets to guests, ensure the safe and smooth running of the VR equipment, and deliver an engaging and memorable guest experience.

The role may also involve cross-training and supporting other departments within the attraction as operationally required.

About You

The ideal candidate for this role will have a passion for guest experience with a focus on fun. They will be proactive in their approach to customer service with a positive attitude towards interaction with our guests and upselling techniques. Previous experience in a similar role is a plus, but a desire to work in the entertainments industry is essential. The ideal candidate must be available to work on weekends. Excellent spoken English and confident presentation skills are all required. Experience or knowledge about marine animals is favourable but not essential to the role.
