Melric International – Albany Heights, North Island
This is a varied position that combines office administration, order processing, purchasing and stock management. The successful candidate will be someone who enjoys working across different areas of the business, can manage multiple priorities and takes pride in getting the details right. This is a Monday to Friday, 40-hour-per-week office-based position.
General day-to-day office administration and support
Processing customer orders accurately and efficiently
Data entry and maintaining accurate records
Responding to emails and assisting with customer and supplier enquiries
Assisting with general office and administrative tasks
Monitoring stock levels and identifying upcoming stock requirements
Placing stock orders with suppliers
Maintaining accurate stock records and inventory information
Assisting with stock control and stocktake processes
Monitoring incoming shipments and ensuring stock records are kept up to date
Assisting with purchasing and replenishment decisions
Liaising with suppliers regarding orders, pricing, availability and delivery times
Keeping an eye on product trends and identifying potential opportunities
Reviewing sales and stock information to assist with purchasing decisions
Excellent computer skills and highly confident learning and using different computer programs and systems
Strong level of general computer literacy and genuine interest in technology
Excellent written and spoken English
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organisational and time-management skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
Good communication skills and confidence to communicate with customers, suppliers and colleagues
Practical, proactive approach to problem solving
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Previous experience in office administration, purchasing, inventory/stock management or similar role would be preferred but is not essential
