Job summary

Waipuna Hotel & Conference Centre in Mount Wellington, Auckland, is seeking a Night Porter to join our Night Team. The role covers overnight operations, including front desk assistance, cleaning, and security monitoring, from 10:30pm to 7:00am.

You’ll work under the Night Manager, support overnight guest services, handle check-ins/outs, and help prepare rooms and breakfasts as required. Previous hotel/night shift experience and the ability to work independently are valued.

Qualifications

• Right to work in NZ (must be current)
• Valued: previous hotel overnight role
• Able to multitask and stay organised during busy periods
• Professional presentation and positive attitude

Responsibilities

• Manage overnight guest check-ins and check-outs
• Respond to guest enquiries and requests during the night
• Monitor hotel safety and security overnight
• Conduct lobby and property checks to maintain presentation
• Assist with overnight guest services, portering and car parking support
• Ensure phones are answered professionally
• Prepare and deliver room service and early breakfast requests
• Set up breakfast and conference rooms as required
• Assist with general cleaning and presentation duties
• Respond to emergencies following hotel procedures
