Job summary

The Warehouse in Dargaville is seeking a vigilant Loss Prevention Officer to help prevent theft and ensure staff and customer safety. This on-site role requires a proactive approach with a visible shop-floor presence and strong communication skills.

Hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 12:30pm–8:30pm. No prior LP experience required, but helpful. The role offers permanent full-time employment with opportunities for progression and staff discounts.

We're seeking a vigilant and proactive Loss Prevention Officer to join our team. Your main focus will be preventing theft and ensuring the safety of our staff and customers.

Hours of work are:

• Tuesday to Saturday:12:30pm - 8:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor security cameras
• Maintain a visible presence on the shop-floor
• Interact with customers and address their concerns
• Upload events onto our crime reporting platform.

Experience in a customer-facing role, such as retail or hospitality, would be beneficial but is not required. Ideally, you will have good communication skills and a positive attitude, along with a willingness to learn. You should be comfortable standing for extended periods.

Additionally, experience in conflict resolution and de-escalation, along with the ability to stay calm under pressure, would be beneficial.
