The Warehouse Group is seeking a vigilant Loss Prevention Officer to join our Dargaville store on a part-time basis. You’ll help prevent theft, ensure staff and customer safety, and support a secure retail environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing role is beneficial but not required.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude are desirable.

Job Description

Te kaupapa o te tūranga - The purpose of the role.

We're seeking a vigilant and proactive Loss Prevention Officer to join our team. Your main focus will be preventing theft and ensuring the safety of our staff and customers.

Hours of work are:

• Monday:8:00am - 12:30pm
• Friday & Saturday:8:00am - 12:30pm
• Sunday:8:00am - 2:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor security cameras
• Maintain a visible presence on the shop-floor
• Interact with customers and address their concerns
• Upload events onto our crime reporting platform.

Qualifications

Experience in a customer-facing role, such as retail or hospitality, would be beneficial but is not required. Ideally, you will have good communication skills and a positive attitude, along with a willingness to learn. You should be comfortable standing for extended periods.

Additionally, experience in conflict resolution and de-escalation, along with the ability to stay calm under pressure, would be beneficial.
