Job summary

The Warehouse Group is seeking a vigilant Loss Prevention Officer for Greymouth. You will focus on preventing theft and protecting staff and customers while maintaining a safe store environment.

Key duties include monitoring security cameras, staying visible on the shop floor, assisting customers, and recording incidents in our crime reporting platform. The role requires adaptability to shifts from Wednesday to Saturday, 10:00am–7:00pm, with opportunities for career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing role is beneficial but not required.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude are important.
• Comfort standing for extended periods.

We're seeking a vigilant and proactive Loss Prevention Officer to join our team. Your main focus will be preventing theft and ensuring the safety of our staff and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor security cameras
• Maintain a visible presence on the shop-floor
• Interact with customers and address their concerns
• Upload events onto our crime reporting platform. Hours of work are :
• Wednesday toSaturday10:00am -7:00pm

Qualifications

Experience in a customer-facing role, such as retail or hospitality, would be beneficial but is not required. Ideally, you will have good communication skills and a positive attitude, along with a willingness to learn. You should be comfortable standing for extended periods.

Additionally, experience in conflict resolution and de-escalation, along with the ability to stay calm under pressure, would be beneficial.
