Job summary

The Warehouse Rangiora is seeking a part-time Loss Prevention Officer to help prevent theft and ensure the safety of staff and customers. Hours are Sunday and Monday, 4:30pm–9:00pm, with training provided and opportunities to develop within the loss-prevention function.

Prior retail or hospitality experience is helpful but not required. You should communicate well, stay calm under pressure, and be comfortable standing for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing role is beneficial but not required.
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Willingness to learn and adapt.

We're seeking a vigilant and proactive Loss Prevention Officer to join our team. Your main focus will be preventing theft and ensuring the safety of our staff and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor security cameras
• Maintain a visible presence on the shop-floor
• Interact with customers and address their concerns
• Upload events onto our crime reporting platform.

Hours of work are:

• Sunday & Monday 4:30pm - 9:00pm

Experience in a customer-facing role, such as retail or hospitality, would be beneficial but is not required. Ideally, you will have good communication skills and a positive attitude, along with a willingness to learn. You should be comfortable standing for extended periods.

Additionally, experience in conflict resolution and de-escalation, along with the ability to stay calm under pressure, would be beneficial.
