The Warehouse Group is seeking a vigilant Loss Prevention (Security) Officer for the Warkworth store. This part-time role focuses on preventing theft and ensuring staff and customer safety across shifts including Sundays, Mondays and some evenings.

Responsibilities include monitoring security cameras, maintaining a visible shop-floor presence, engaging with customers, and logging events on our crime reporting platform. Prior retail experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing role is beneficial but not required.
• Comfortable standing for extended periods.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.

Te kaupapa o te tūranga - The purpose of the role.

Hours of work are:

• Sunday & Monday: 12:00pm - 8:15pm
• Tuesday:5:15pm - 8:15pm

We're seeking a vigilant and proactive Loss Prevention Officer to join our team. Your main focus will be preventing theft and ensuring the safety of our staff and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor security cameras
• Maintain a visible presence on the shop-floor
• Interact with customers and address their concerns
• Upload events onto our crime reporting platform.

Experience in a customer-facing role, such as retail or hospitality, would be beneficial but is not required. Ideally, you will have good communication skills and a positive attitude, along with a willingness to learn. You should be comfortable standing for extended periods.

Additionally, experience in conflict resolution and de-escalation, along with the ability to stay calm under pressure, would be beneficial.
