The Warehouse in Northland is hiring a vigilant Loss Prevention Officer to help prevent theft and safeguard staff and customers. Based in Dargaville, you will monitor cameras, maintain a visible shop-floor presence, and engage with customers to resolve concerns. Prior customer-facing experience is helpful; you should stay calm under pressure and be willing to learn. This role offers flexible hours and opportunities for progression.

We're seeking a vigilant and proactive Loss Prevention Officer to join our team. Your main focus will be preventing theft and ensuring the safety of our staff and customers.

Hours Of Work Are

• Monday: 8:00am - 12:30pm
• Friday & Saturday: 8:00am - 12:30pm
• Sunday: 8:00am - 2:0pm

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security cameras
• Maintain a visible presence on the shop-floor
• Interact with customers and address their concerns
• Upload events onto our crime reporting platform.

Qualifications

He kōrero mōu ake - About you

Experience in a customer-facing role, such as retail or hospitality, would be beneficial but is not required. Ideally, you will have good communication skills and a positive attitude, along with a willingness to learn. You should be comfortable standing for extended periods.

Additionally, experience in conflict resolution and de-escalation, along with the ability to stay calm under pressure, would be beneficial.
