Job summary

Mairangi Bay School in Auckland is seeking a Learning Support Coordinator for Years 1–8. This role is four days a week (0.8 FTTE) and focuses on leading and coordinating learning support across the school to ensure every learner is recognised and able to thrive.

The LSC will work with the deputy principal SENCo portfolio, kaiako and ākonga, and lead a team of learning assistants and teacher support programmes. Background in RTLB, TESOL, PB4L or neurodiversity understanding is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience and capabilities.
• Good communication skills and ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
• Experience in learning support and PB4L approaches advantageous.

We are seeking a teacher experienced in supporting students to take up the position of Learning Support Coordinator (LSC) at Mairangi Bay School, 4 days a week (0.8 FTTE).

The successful candidate will lead, influence, and collaborate to ensure that every learner is recognised, supported, and able to thrive. They should have good communication skills and the ability to form and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders. The LSC will focus on culturally sustainable practice that meets individual student. They will work alongside the deputy principal SENCo portfolio, kaiako and our ākonga as needed, and lead a team of learning assistants and teacher support programmes.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate significant leadership experience and capabilities. A background as an RTLB, TESOL, learning support, leadership of PB4L, and an in-depth understanding of neurodiversity will be considered an advantage.
