Job summary

Greenmeadows Intermediate in Auckland seeks a Certificated teacher to lead learning support as the Learning Support Coordinator, commencing Term 1, 2027. The role focuses on building effective relationships with staff, students and whānau to ensure learners with additional needs receive timely support.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, students, whānau and external agencies to identify needs, coordinate plans and specialist support, and strengthen school-wide learning

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with NZ certification.
• Experience implementing inclusive and culturally responsive practice.
• Ability to collaborate with staff, whānau and outside agencies.

Our Learning Support Coordinator is at the heart of learning support across the school, working alongside teachers, students, whānau and outside agencies to ensure learners with moderate learning and behaviour needs receive the right support at the right time.

Our LSC supports teachers to identify and respond to learning needs, helps coordinate plans and specialist support, provides practical strategies and guidance, strengthens teacher and teacher aide capability, and helps ensure our school-wide learning support systems are effective and responsive.

This is a fully released, full-time position commencing Term 1, 2027. The role would suit someone who is highly relational, organised, solutions-focused and flexible, with strong knowledge of inclusive and culturally responsive practice.

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who knows their craft, enjoys working collaboratively, has a genuine "can do" attitude – and brings a good sense of humour to the role!
