Job summary

Taradale Primary School is seeking a permanent Learning Support Coordinator (LSC) for a 0.83 FTE position starting in 2027. The role focuses on coordinating learning support across the kura, working with kaiako, whānau, and external specialists to respond to learner needs.

The successful applicant will be a registered teacher with a current practising certificate and relevant teaching qualification, and will work closely with leadership and Ministry specialists to strengthen inclusive practice.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate learning support across the kura and with tamariki, whānau, kaiako, kaiāwhina, senior leadership and external specialists.

Taradale Primary School is seeking applications for the permanent position of Learning Support Coordinator (LSC), starting at the beginning of 2027.

This is a permanent 0.83 FTTE position responsible for coordinating learning support across our kura and working collaboratively with tamariki, whānau, kaiako, kaiāwhina, senior leadership and external specialists.

The role has a strong focus on identifying and responding to learner needs, coordinating appropriate support, strengthening inclusive practice and building capability across the school. The LSC will work closely with Ministry Learning Support specialists, RTLB and other agencies to support timely and well-connected responses for learners.

Applicants should have strong knowledge and experience in learning support, excellent communication and relationship-building skills and a commitment to inclusive and culturally responsive practice. The successful applicant will be confident working collaboratively with whānau, staff, school leadership and external specialists.
