We are seeking an experienced, collaborative Learning Support Coordinator (LSC)to join our team.

You will play a vital role in building inclusive practices, supporting our teachers, and ensuring our students and whānau are at the center of all learning support decisions.

Key responsibilities:

• Work alongside school leadership to analyze data, guide resource allocation, and strengthen continuous inquiry into our learning support systems.
• Partner with teachers and specialist intervention staff to co-design support plans, teach alongside kaiako, build teacher capacity, and monitor progress.
• Strategically allocate and guide Learning Assistants to maximize their impact for diverse learners.
• Build strong, mana-enhancing partnerships with whānau, ensuring student voice drives decision-making.
• Facilitate smooth, well-planned transitions for learners moving into and through key stages of their schooling.
• Enable strong connections between teachers, whānau, RTLB, MOE specialists, and other external agencies.

Knowledge, skills and experience required:

• Learning support expertise: Demonstrated experience supporting children with diverse needs, including early identification, using assessment data to monitor progress, and co-designing targeted interventions.
• Culturally responsive: Deep commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, cultural competence, and the ability to engage authentically with whānau.
• Facilitation and coaching: Skill in coaching teachers and support staff to build inclusive teaching capability and future-focused professional growth.
• Strong relationships and communication: Proven ability to build trusted partnerships across whānau, teachers, MOE specialists, RTLB, and other community networks.
• Data and problem solving: Adaptable and data-fluent, using evidence-based approaches, digital tools, and analytics to drive decision-making.
