You will manage a diverse client portfolio, prepare financial statements and tax returns, and deliver tailored business advisory services. Responsibilities include GST, FBT, PAYE, IRD returns, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and financial analysis,

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience in New Zealand.
• Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns.
• NZ accounting experience required; CA progression preferred.

As an Intermediate - Senior Accountant, you'll be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients, preparing financial statements, tax returns, and other statutory reports. You'll work closely with clients to provide tailored business advisory services. You'll oversee the preparation and filing of GST, FBT, PAYE, and other IRD returns, and assist with budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and financial analysis. Additionally, you will mentor junior team members, contribute to internal process improvements, and liaise with clients to resolve complex issues. Your ability to manage multiple clients and projects while maintaining high standards of accuracy and timeliness will be key to your success in this role.

It is vital that you have prior New Zealand accounting experience to be successful in this role. Ideally you will be working towards your CA or already have this completed.
