Job summary

Fluid Recruitment is partnering with a Christchurch practice to recruit a BAS Accountant. This role goes beyond compliance, offering client advisory and growth support.

You will manage financial statements, tax returns, budgeting and management reporting, while building strong client relationships. The successful candidate has 2+ years in public practice in NZ, CA/CPA toward, and experience with Xero/MYOB; flexible work options and a clear path for professional development.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in a public practice accounting firm (NZ experience essential).
• Working towards or fully qualified CA/CPA.
• Solid understanding of NZ tax and compliance requirements.
• Experience with Xero, MYOB or similar cloud-based software.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparing financial statements and tax returns for a broad client base

Our client is looking for a BAS Accountant to join their fast-growing Christchurch practice. This is more than just a compliance role - you'll work directly with clients, offering tailored advice and helping them grow their businesses.

You’ll be exposed to a wide variety of clients across multiple industries and will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative, people-first environment.
