As an Intermediate - Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, providing expert financial advice, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. You will have the opportunity to mentor junior staff, manage your own client relationships, and play an integral role in the success of the firm's clients.
Preparation of financial statements and tax returns for a diverse client base
Review and manage client portfolios, offering proactive advice
Ensure compliance with New Zealand tax laws and accounting standards
Assist with management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
Mentor and develop junior team members
Build and maintain strong client relationships
CA-qualified (or near completion) with 2+ years' experience in an accounting practice
Strong knowledge of New Zealand accounting and tax regulations
Experience in preparing financial statements, tax returns, and management reports
Proficient in accounting software (Xero, MYOB, etc.)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
