Job summary

Fluid Recruitment Limited seeks a motivated BAS Accountant for a growing Christchurch practice. You’ll work directly with clients, offering tailored advice and helping them grow their businesses.

You’ll handle a variety of clients across industries, collaborating with experienced professionals in a people-first environment that values work-life balance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in a public practice accounting firm (NZ experience essential).
• Working towards or fully qualified CA/CPA.
• Solid understanding of NZ tax and compliance requirements.
• Experience with Xero, MYOB or similar cloud-based accounting software.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparing financial statements and tax returns for a broad client base.
• Assisting with business advisory projects including budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
• Providing tax planning advice and compliance support.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Working closely with senior accountants and partners to deliver value-added services.

Our client is looking for a BAS Accountant to join their fast-growing Christchurch practice. This is more than just a compliance role - you'll work directly with clients, offering tailored advice and helping them grow their businesses.

You'll be exposed to a wide variety of clients across multiple industries and will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative, people-first environment.
