Finch Recruitment in Hamilton, NZ is seeking a Senior Accountant to own a diverse client portfolio and deliver accounting, tax and advisory services within a collaborative team.

You will work with modern cloud-based systems and a broad client base, with a clear path for career progression and a supportive culture focused on long-term success.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in a Chartered Accounting practice.
• Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to confidently manage multiple client engagements.
• Proactive approach and desire to add value to clients.

Responsibilities

• Managing your own client portfolio from start to finish.
• Preparing financial statements and income tax returns.
• Preparing management reports, budgets, forecasts and cashflow reporting.
• Responding to client queries and providing practical business advice.
• Researching and preparing tax advice.
• Assisting clients with cloud accounting systems and process improvements.
• Building strong, long-term client relationships.

The Opportunity

You'll take ownership of a diverse portfolio of clients across a wide range of industries, delivering a combination of accounting, taxation and advisory services.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing your own client portfolio from start to finish
