Job summary

Tyler Wren is partnering with a Tauranga-based CA firm, offering a role where you will own a diverse client portfolio up to $2M and lead advisory projects. Enjoy flexible hours with hybrid work, direct client engagement and a manager who supports your professional growth.

You will manage financial statements, tax compliance, and advisory initiatives, building strong relationships with clients while advancing toward CA qualification in a collaborative, grounded environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years BAS experience in NZ public practice.
• Pursuing CA qualification.
• Experienced with Xero, Xero Workpapers and XPM.
• Excellent communication skills—verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Own a varied client portfolio across HNWI, retail, tradies, logistics and lifestyle horticulture up to $2M.
• Prepare financial statements, tax returns, GST, FBT and all compliance.
• Main point of contact for clients via phone, email and in person.
• Identify advisory opportunities and contribute to projects like management reporting, budgets, forecasts and software implementation.

About the Role

• Act as the main point of contact for clients through phone, email and in person
• Find advisory opportunities and be apart of projects such as management reporting, budgets, forecasts and software implementation

About You

• 3 years + of BAS experience in New Zealandpublic practice firm
• Studying towards your CA qualification
• Experienced with Xero, Xero Workpapers and XPM
• Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
• Personable, self motivated and confident with "a bit about you" to comfortably engage with clients and colleagues
