Job summary

New Zealand Government is seeking a proactive Project/Programme Coordinator based in Ōtara, Auckland. This on‑site role supports Grid Delivery’s critical infrastructure projects across New Zealand with strong financial, reporting and coordination duties.

You will work closely with Project Managers, coordinate activities for multiple projects, manage information accurately, and help ensure efficient project support to enable timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in project or programme coordination.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills.
• Familiarity with financial management tasks and reporting.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing timelines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ideally MS Project or Oracle/SAP.

Responsibilities

• Provide end‑to‑end project coordination support across the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and finance teams on forecasting, invoicing, accruals and variance reporting.
• Monitor and analyse project reports and performance metrics.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and greater efficiency.
