Job summary

Pacific Radiology Christchurch is seeking a permanent Booking Specialist to join our busy contact centre. You will coordinate and book imaging appointments, interact with patients, referrers, funders, and the public, and uphold our service standards.

This full-time position focuses on accuracy, privacy, and efficient communication, with training provided and a supportive team. You’ll manage funding applications and provide clear cost information for procedures.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and ability to pick up new systems.
• Exceptional organizational skills.
• Warm, engaging interpersonal skills showing understanding and empathy.
• Rock-solid customer service experience, preferably within a Contact Centre environment.
• Ability to process large amounts of technical and variable information calmly and professionally.
• Some knowledge of medical terminology is desired.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls promptly to schedule examinations across a range of procedures.
• Apply correct protocols and liaise with the clinical team to obtain required procedures and staff.
• Protect patient privacy and ensure procedures are met with involved clinical teams.
