Job summary

New World Centre City is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead all aspects of the employee lifecycle in our fast-paced Dunedin supermarket. You will drive recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, employee engagement, compliance and workplace culture, partnering with Store Owners and Managers to attract, develop and retain talent.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in HR leadership and employee lifecycle management.
• Strong knowledge of New Zealand employment law and compliance.
• Proven ability to recruit, onboard and develop staff across a retail environment.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Organisational skills with high attention to detail and discretion.
• Proficient with MS Office and HR systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes across the store.
• Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management and employment matters.
• Maintain personnel records and ensure legal and policy compliance.
• Coordinate training and development programmes for staff growth.
• Manage staff engagement initiatives and workplace culture.
• Support workforce planning, rostering analysis, and HR reporting.
• Administer HR systems, documentation, and reporting accurately.
