Job summary

New Zealand Government in Wellington is seeking an enthusiastic HR professional to join our HR Business Partnering team in a permanent, full-time role. You will support managers and employees, coordinate key HR processes, and help deliver high-quality people services across the organisation.

Working with experienced HR professionals, you will broaden your HR knowledge, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and play an important role in achieving positive people outcomes.

Qualifications

• A qualification in HR or equivalent experience with understanding of HR practices and employment legislation.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Keen eye for detail and sound judgement.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for Ask HR and recruitment enquiries, providing timely and accurate support to managers, employees and candidates.
• Coordinate key HR processes including recruitment support, onboarding and offboarding activities, wellness payments, and the workflow of employment documentation.
• Provide high-quality administrative and coordination support to the HR Business Partnering team, helping keep priorities on track and ensuring work is delivered efficiently.
• Build strong relationships across the organisation and contribute to continuous improvement of HR systems, processes and ways of working.
