Novotel Queenstown Lakeside, part of the Accor group, is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Assistant Manager to join our hotel operations team. Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper, you will assist in managing and coordinating the Housekeeping Department to maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction.

You will supervise operations, rostering, stock control, training and performance management, and act as Department Manager in the Executive Housekeeper's absence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' relevant hotel/hospitality experience, preferably in housekeeping supervision or management.
• Strong knowledge of hotel housekeeping operations, rostering, stock control and inventory.
• Experience with purchasing, cost control and staff training.
• Strong communication, leadership, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and make operational decisions.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsabilités

• Oversee and coordinate daily Housekeeping operations and supervise housekeeping team members.
• Allocate duties and assist with staff rostering and workforce planning.
• Conduct room and public-area inspections to maintain cleanliness and service standards.
• Manage housekeeping supplies, equipment, linen, stock and inventory.
• Assist with purchasing, budgets and cost control.
• Supervise, train, coach and support housekeeping team members.
• Assist with recruitment, induction and performance management.
• Manage contractors and suppliers as required.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety and hotel policies.
• Liaise with other hotel departments to support smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
• Act as Department Manager in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper.
• Prepare departmental reports and support continuous improvement of housekeeping operations.
