Job summary

Novotel Queenstown Lakeside, part of the Accor group, is seeking an experienced Assistant Housekeeping Manager to oversee daily housekeeping operations and lead a team toward exceptional guest experiences. You will report to the Executive Housekeeper and stand in as Department Manager when needed.

Key duties include supervising staff, rostering, stock control, safety compliance, and collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth operations. NZD 67,000–70,000 per year, full-time.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, leadership and organisational abilities.
• Experience supervising housekeeping teams in hotels.
• Know-how in rostering, stock control and inventory management.
• Experience with purchasing, cost control and staff training.
• Familiarity with Opera or similar hotel systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily housekeeping operations and supervise team members.
• Assist with staff rostering and workforce planning.
• Conduct room and public-area inspections for standards.
• Manage supplies, equipment, linen, stock and inventory.
• Assist with purchasing, budgets and cost control.
