QJumpers Recruitment Services in Hawke's Bay is seeking care assistants to cover weekdays and partial weekends in Napier and Hastings. You’ll travel between clients, providing supervised personal cares, home checks and medication supervision.

Applicants should have a current First Aid Certificate or be willing to obtain Level 2–4 Health and Wellbeing certification, a full driver’s licence, and a reliable vehicle. Full training and induction will be provided.

This role is for you.

The Role

We are looking for carers who can work during the week and at least part of a Saturday or a Sunday.
Most cares are provided between the hours of 8am to 11am and 4pm to 6pm over 7 days a week.
We provide supervised personal cares, home management welfare checks and medication supervision.

The difference with our service is that we provide cares with aroha and manaakitaunga.

We have mahi available in Napier and Hastings and will schedule mahi in the town that you live in.
We have permanent hours available from 10 - 20 hours per week.
We are also looking to increase our pool of casuals who can provide cover for our permanent staff, particularly on the weekends.

You will need your own reliable vehicle to travel from client to client.
We pay at the Pay Equity Hourly rates plus a travel allowance which covers travel costs and the time it takes to travel between clients.

We use Carecall and Remote worker apps for rostering, whānau care plans and electronic timesheets.
A reasonable level of computer and technology skills is required as we use email, Mobile phones and Apps to keep in contact with you.
Full training on how to use Care Call will be provided as well as a Full Role Induction and buddying up.

About You:

We are looking for applicants who have:

• A Current First Aid Certificate [ideally]
• Level 2, 3 or 4 Health and Wellbeing Certificate [preferred]
• . Or you can gain your L2 qualification as part of your Role Induction
• Full Drivers Licence
• Own reliable vehicle
• Excellent reliability and work ethic
• Understanding of some Tikanga and Te Reo Māori or willingness to learn
• Enthusiasm, energy, initiative and a high degree of flexibility
• Whakawhānaungatanga - able to make connections with the whānau we work with
