Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga is seeking a proactive Roster Co-ordinator for its Home Care Support Service in Hastings. You will work with the Team Manager, Registered Nurses and Support Workers to ensure daily homecare visits are covered, rosters are current, and families are kept informed.

The role requires administration experience, calm communication, and a willingness to learn Te Reo and tikanga. A Full Driver’s licence is essential.

Formación

• Ideally a Level 3 or 4 Health & Wellbeing certificate or equivalent.
• Experience in administration and coordinating multiple tasks.
• Strong communication and people skills.
• Calm, mature approach to day-to-day changes.
• Experience in providing professional homecare.
• Understanding Te Reo and tikanga or willingness to learn.
• Full valid driver’s licence.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate day-to-day homecare visits with Support Workers.
• Schedule cares and assessments and update rosters.
• Maintain regular communication with whānau, Support Workers, and nurses.
• Provide administrative support to the service.
• Occasionally cover cares when a carer cannot be found.

Te Oranga Tautiaki is our Homecare Service providing quality, personal, short or long term homecare with aroha and manaakitaunga for whānau in their home.

Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga is an iwi mandated, kaupapa Māori values-based health and social services organisation providing services to our community along the East Coast of the North Island. Our health, social, education and community development teams have been working successfully with whānau for over 40 years.

About the Role:

This role plays a key part in the success of this service. Working closely with the Team Manager and the Registered Nurses, this role is responsible for ensuring the day to day Homecares are covered by our Support Workers, setting up whānau with the service, scheduling the cares and assessments, updating any changes to the rosters, regular communication with the whānau, our team of Support Workers, Nurses and providing overall administration support for the service. From time to time you may also be required to jump in and cover cares if another carer cannot be found.

This is a busy role, requiring someone who can work in a calm and positive way while managing daily changes.

What we are looking for?
