Job summary

Care on Call is seeking a Community Support Worker for Napier/Hastings, NZ. This casual role involves providing in-home support to clients after illness or injury, helping with daily tasks, social activities, and transport to events.

Applicants should have strong communication skills, a clean NZ driver’s license, and ideally a Level 2 Health and Wellbeing certificate. NZ work rights, reliability, and a good sense of humour are essential.

Qualifications

• A current, clean full driver’s licence is required.
• Ideally minimum Level 2 Health and Wellbeing certificate.
• Previous caregiving/support work experience with similar clients preferred.
• Must have the right to work in NZ.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily tasks and personal care.
• Provide support with social activities and appointments.
• Assist with light housework and meal preparation.
• Drive clients to appointments, work meetings, and events.
• Aid passive exercises and stretches as directed.

Care on Callprovides support to people withintheir homesafter injury, illness or just to make their lives easier. We are always looking for professional, warm, capable people who have a real desire to make a difference in someone's life.
You will join an existing supportive and caring team who look after our clients with their daily tasks, social activities and work commitments. This includes but is not limited to:

• Manual Handling
• Personal Cares
• House work and meal preparation
• Driving client’s in their vehicle to get to appointments, work meetings and community/social events
• Passive exercises and stretches

Additional requirements

• Great communication skills
• A current, clean full driver’s licence
• Ideally minimum Level 2 Health and Wellbeing certificate (or above)
• Previous experience as a caregiver/support worker with similar clients
• The legal right to work in NZ
• Energetic, initiative, and a good sense of humour
• To be reliable, punctual, honest and caring
