Job summary

Millennium Hotels and Resorts – Copthorne Lakefront Queenstown is seeking a Porter to warmly welcome guests, assist with luggage, and support our Front Office team in a dynamic lakefront setting.

You will share local knowledge, help guests plan activities, and ensure the public areas are well presented, while embracing flexible rosters including weekends and some nights.

This role offers staff perks, training, career growth, and staff discounts within a hospitality-focused team.

Qualifications

• Passionate about customer service and creating great guest experiences.
• Friendly, reliable, and a strong team player.
• Physically fit and comfortable handling luggage.
• Holds a full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence (not essential).
• Flexible to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
• Ability to work some nights when required.
• Knowledge of Queenstown and surrounding areas is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests with professionalism and warmth.
• Assist with luggage handling and guest arrivals/departures.
• Provide local recommendations on Queenstown activities, dining, and attractions.
• Support concierge duties and guest requests.
• Maintain presentation of public areas.
• Assist with valet parking and guest transport (where required).
