Job summary

Team Global Express NZ in Christchurch is hiring a Freight Operator to join the branch. This hands-on role involves loading and unloading freight, scanning, sorting, and keeping operations moving safely and on time. The afternoon shift runs Monday to Friday with starts from 10am to 3pm.

You will need a full NZ Class 1 license, a forklift license with OSH cert, and a dangerous goods endorsement is ideal. Applicants must pass pre-employment checks; Team Global Express is an Alcohol and Drug Free

Team Global Express NZ delivers freight forwarding, end-to-end transport services, and comprehensive logistics solutions to customers operating in New Zealand from Kaitaia to Invercargill.

Afternoon Shift: Monday – Friday, earliest start 10am, latest start 3pm.

About the role - Mō te tūranga

In this hands-on role, you'll be loading and unloading freight, scanning, sorting and keeping everything moving safely and on time. No two days are the same – its' a fast‑paced, physical role where teamwork is key.

• Load and unload all freight safely and securely, for both road and rail units.
• Achieve branch operational objectives by using on-time to scan freight efficiently.
• Ensure all equipment is operated in a safe and proficient manner.
• Maintain good working relationships.
• Communicate effectively within a team environment
