Job summary

Team Global Express NZ in Mount Maunganui is seeking a Freight Operator to join our high‑performing team on the afternoon shift. You’ll load and unload freight, scan and sort items, and help keep the operation moving safely and on time.

This hands‑on role requires a full NZ Class 1 license, a forklift license with OSH cert, and a customer‑focused attitude. You’ll contribute to efficient road and rail freight handling alongside supportive teammates.

Qualifications

• Clean Full NZ Class 1 License – must have
• Forklift License with OSH cert – must have
• Dangerous Good Endorsement – ideal
• Customer-focused attitude
• Communication and teamwork skills
• Experience driving on New Zealand roads

Responsibilities

• Load and unload all freight safely and securely, for both road and rail units.
• Achieve branch operational objectives by using On-time to scan freight efficiently.
• Ensure all equipment is operated in a safe and proficient manner.
• Maintain good working relationships.
• Communicate effectively within a team environment

Afternoon Shift: Monday – Friday 3.00am – 11.30am

About the role - Mō te tūranga

In this hands‑on role, you'll be loading and unloading freight, scanning, sorting and keeping everything moving safely and on time. No two days are the same – it's a fast‑paced, physical role where teamwork is key.
