Job summary

Team Global Express Hastings is seeking a Freight Operator to load/unload freight, scan and sort cargo, and keep operations moving safely and on time. This hands-on role requires a full NZ Class 1 license, forklift certification, and a team-focused attitude. You’ll work on a morning shift with safety and quality at the core.

Qualifications

• Clean Full NZ Class 1 License – must have.
• Forklift License with OSH cert – must have.
• Dangerous Goods Endorsement – ideal.
• Customer-focused attitude and teamwork.
• Experience driving on New Zealand roads.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload all freight safely and securely, for both road and rail units.
• Operate equipment in a safe and proficient manner and scan freight.
• Sort and move freight to maintain branch on-time performance.
• Maintain good working relationships and communicate effectively within the team.

Team Global Express NZ delivers freight forwarding, end-to-end transport services, and comprehensive logistics solutions to customers operating in New Zealand from Kaitaia to Invercargill.

Morning Shift: Monday – Friday 3.00am – 11.30am

About The Role - Mō Te Tūranga

In this hands‑on role, you’ll be loading and unloading freight, scanning, sorting and keeping everything moving safely and on time. No two days are the same – its’ a fast‑paced, physical role where teamwork is key.

Key Duties

• Load and unload all freight safely and securely, for both road and rail units.
• Achieve branch operational objectives by using On-time to scan freight efficiently.
• Ensure all equipment is operated in a safe and proficient manner.
• Maintain good working relationships.
• Communicate effectively within a team environment
