Job summary

Team Global Express NZ is seeking a Freight Operator for the Mount Maunganui branch. You will load and unload freight, scan & sort items, and keep operations moving on time in a fast-paced, physical role.

Teamwork is essential as you contribute to a safe, efficient work environment. The role requires a clean NZ Class 1 license, a forklift license with OSH certification, and ideally a Dangerous Goods endorsement, with strong customer focus and communication skills to support the team across

• Forklift License with OSH cert – must have.
• Dangerous Goods Endorsement – ideal.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight safely for road and rail units.
• Meet branch objectives by using On-time to scan freight efficiently.
• Operate all equipment safely and proficiently.
• Maintain good working relationships within the team.

Team Global Express NZ delivers freight forwarding, end-to-end transport services, and comprehensive logistics solutions to customers operating in New Zealand from Kaitaia to Invercargill.

Afternoon Shift: Monday – Friday 4.00pm – 12.30am

About The Role - Mō Te Tūranga

In this hands‑on role, you’ll be loading and unloading freight, scanning, sorting and keeping everything moving safely and on time. No two days are the same – its’ a fast‑paced, physical role where teamwork is key.

Key Duties

• Load and unload all freight safely and securely, for both road and rail units.
• Achieve branch operational objectives by using On-time to scan freight efficiently.
• Ensure all equipment is operated in a safe and proficient manner.
• Maintain good working relationships.
• Communicate effectively within a team environment
