Job summary

PHF Science in Porirua seeks a Facilities Coordinator for a 6-month fixed-term at the Kenepuru Science Centre. You will manage day-to-day facilities operations, visitor reception, mail, deliveries, repairs, access control, and site safety, coordinating contractors and keeping the site well presented.

The role requires on-site work Monday to Friday, strong organisational skills, customer focus, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Availability to be on site Monday-Friday at Kenepuru Science Centre
• Previous successful experience in facilities or related roles
• Strong communication and customer-service focus
• Excellent organisational and coordination abilities, with multitasking capacity

Responsibilities

• Manage visitor reception and phones
• Oversee deliveries, mail, and mail room operations
• Coordinate building operations: repairs, security, access control, and building management system
• Induct and coordinate contractors and tradespersons
• Maintain site presentation and health and safety risk management
• Support Facilities Manager with emergency evacuation procedures
