Job summary

PHF Science is seeking a Facilities Coordinator for a 6-month fixed term to coordinate day-to-day facilities operations at Kenepuru Science Centre in Porirua. You will manage visitor access, deliveries, repairs, security, and contractor inductions while ensuring a safe and well-presented site.

On-site Monday to Friday, you will work with a customer-focused approach, supporting health and safety, waste management, and meeting room setups.

Qualifications

• Availability to be on site at Kenepuru Science Centre (Porirua)
• Previous successful experience in facilities or related roles
• Strong customer-focused approach with effective communication skills
• Excellent organisational and co-ordination skills, prioritise and multi-task with ease
• Ability to work independently and show initiative

Responsibilities

• Visitor management and phone reception.
• Managing inwards/outwards deliveries and mail.
• Day-to-day building operations: repairs, maintenance, security/access control, and building management system, parking and traffic control.
• Induction and coordination of contractors and tradespersons.
• Maintaining a well-presented site, managing health and safety risks, site waste disposal, grounds maintenance, and meeting room setup/reset.
• Support Facilities Manager with emergency evacuation procedures.
