Job summary

AVC Operations Pty Limited – Morningside, North Island is seeking an organised, detail-focused Event Coordinator to join our team in a full-time role. You’ll support weddings, corporate functions and large-scale celebrations from enquiry through to delivery, ensuring every detail is planned and executed to a high standard.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in events or hospitality, strong communication skills, and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in functions, events or hospitality.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Confident and professional communication skills.
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends when events require.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate event enquiries, bookings and administration.
• Work closely with clients to understand their vision and requirements.
• Prepare run sheets, timelines and detailed event plans.
• Coordinate requirements with venue, kitchen and operational teams.
• Liaise with vendors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain clear and professional client communication.
• Support event setup, service and delivery on the day.
• Manage payments and follow up on outstanding accounts.
• Help create memorable experiences that encourage repeat business.
