We're looking for an organised, energetic and people-focused Event Operations Coordinator to help deliver outstanding events across some of Whanganui's most iconic venues.
From conferences and gala dinners to concerts, performances, sporting functions and community celebrations, you'll be at the heart of ensuring events run smoothly from start to finish. Whether you're coordinating event set-ups, managing casual staff, overseeing bar operations, or solving last-minute challenges, you'll play a key role in creating exceptional experiences for our clients and audiences.

About the role
As our Event Operations Coordinator, you'll be responsible for coordinating the operational delivery of events across the Whanganui Venues & Events portfolio.
You'll:
One day you might be coordinating staffing and venue preparations for a major conference, the next helping deliver a sold-out show, planning beverage service for a gala dinner, or working with clients to ensure every detail of their event is ready to go.
About you
You're a natural organiser who enjoys juggling multiple priorities and building strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
You'll bring:
Experience in venue operations, bar management, or local government will be highly regarded. A Duty Manager's Certificate or LCQ qualification would also be an advantage.
