Job summary

UniLodge Canterbury is seeking a Night Coordinator for after-hours support across University Hall, Ilam Apartments and Dovedale Halls. The role is part-time (30 hours per week), with three 10-hour night shifts on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays starting at 5:30 pm.

You will be based mainly at University Hall and may travel between halls for incident response and procedures. The position offers entry-level exposure to student accommodation, pastoral care, customer service and incident response,

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or people-facing roles.
• Ability to handle after-hours emergencies calmly and effectively.
• Good written documentation and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support after-hours operations to ensure safe and effective service.
• Be the approachable contact for residents during evening and overnight shifts.
• Respond to enquiries, lockouts, noise concerns and wellbeing issues.
• Provide initial wellbeing support and escalate when needed.
• Respond to incidents following procedures and escalation paths.
• Maintain records of incidents and handovers to Night Managers.
• Travel between halls as required.
• Complete reception, admin and operational tasks as assigned.
