Job summary

ATT is seeking candidates for Electrical apprenticeships on the West Coast, Greymouth. You will train hands-on with experienced tradespeople and earn a wage while you learn, with pay increases as skills grow.

Applicants should have a driver’s license, a clean record, and the ability to pass pre-employment drug tests. NZ residency is required; a maths/physics background helps.

Qualifications

• Must be NZ permanent resident or citizen.
• Strong math and electrical interest; physics helpful.
• Driver’s license with reliable transport required.

Responsibilities

• Learn on-the-job under skilled tradespeople.
• Develop practical electrical trade skills during apprenticeship.
• Progress pay increases as skills grow over time.

We’re looking for intelligent, hands‑on candidates interested in Electrical apprenticeships in

ATT are the experts in apprenticeships - see http://www.ATT.org.nz,

You’ll need to:

• Be reliable – on time every time
• Have some job experience - whether that’s farming, labouring experience, or holiday jobs
• Be good with your hands – you know how to use tools
• Have your driver’s license (Restricted or Full) with reliable transport to get to work - manual preferred
• Have a clean criminal record
• Be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol tests
• Be a NZ permanent resident or citizen
• Have an insight into the Electrical trade. Very good at math (at least NCEA L2) and preferably have studied physics. Maybe you have completed an electrical pre-trade course or have completed an Electrical gateway placement while at school (but this is not mandatory)
