Job summary

ATT is offering Electrical apprenticeships in Hamilton, NZ. You will work with qualified electricians on residential, commercial and industrial projects while completing your electrical training.

We’re seeking reliable, hands-on individuals with some work experience, a driving license, and NZ residency. You’ll learn to install, maintain, test and repair systems with support from ATT area managers; training wages apply and pay increases as you gain skills.

Qualifications

• Be reliable and punctual.
• Some job experience or holiday work is helpful.
• Able to use hand tools with care.
• Have a NZ driver’s license and reliable transport.
• Clean criminal record is required.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug/alcohol tests.
• NZ permanent resident or citizen.
• Electrical knowledge: math focus (NCEA L2) and physics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with electrical installations, maintenance, testing and repairs.
• Work with qualified electricians on a variety of residential, commercial and industrial projects.
• Support training requirements while completing the apprenticeship.

We’re looking for intelligent, hands‑on candidates interested in Electrical apprenticeships in

This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop practical electrical skills while working alongside qualified electricians on a variety of residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The successful candidate will assist with electrical installations, maintenance, testing, and repairs while completing their electrical apprenticeship and training requirements.

You’ll need to:

• Be reliable – on time every time
• Have some job experience - whether that’s labouring experience, or holiday jobs
• Be good with your hands – you know how to use tools
• Have your driver’s license (Restricted or Full) with reliable transport to get to work
• Have a clean criminal record
• Be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol tests
• Be a NZ permanent resident or citizen
• Have an insight into the Electrical trade. Very good at math (at least NCEA L2) and preferably have studied physics. Maybe you have completed an electrical pre-trade course or have completed an Electrical gateway placement while at school (but this is not mandatory)
