Job summary

New World Wanaka is part of Foodstuffs South Island and seeks a Duty Manager to lead the busy retail floor, supervise the team and ensure excellent customer service. You will oversee merchandising, stock levels and Health & Safety standards while supporting a positive store culture.

You will have at least two years in supermarkets, a liquor licence or ability to obtain one, and experience with SAP. The role includes weekend shifts and benefits from a locally owned, community-focused employer.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ experience in a supermarket.
• Manager’s Certificate (liquor licence) or ability to obtain one.
• Good time management and communication skills.
• Confident in leading and supporting a team.
• Sound problem solving and decision making ability.
• Experience with SAP or similar systems.
• A Forklift Licence or willingness to obtain one.
• Experience working in a fresh food department.

Responsibilities

About You – The Successful Applicant Will Have

Pay rate range for these positions are $28.00 - $32.00 per hour. The shifts for these roles will include weekends. These roles relate to ANZSCO 142111 (Skill level 2) Retail Manager.
