Job summary

CCS Disability Action in the Waikato region is seeking a committed coordinator to deliver high-quality, rights-based services for disabled children, adults and their families/whānau. This role sits within the Children and Families team and coordinates delivery of contracted services to disabled people and their families.

Qualifications

• Understand, and be committed to progressing the rights of disabled people.
• Experience working with individuals including children and rangatahi and their families/whānau.
• Ability to form positive relationships and networks.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Understanding of the disability sector and affirming approach.
• Strong time management and organisational skills.
• Previous experience and/or tertiary training.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate delivery of contracted services (e.g., Supported Lifestyles Under 19, Intensive Wrap Around).
• Ensure services for disabled people and whānau are high quality and rights based.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with community partners.
• Provide advocacy, information sharing and responsive service enquiries.
• Partner with disabled people and whānau to support choice and control.
• Demonstrate a collaborative approach to service delivery.
• Focus on inclusion of disabled people within families and the wider community.
