Job summary

CCS Disability Action in Christchurch invites applications for a permanent, full-time leadership role overseeing the Canterbury regional services. You will lead a team of service staff delivering support, information, and advocacy for disabled people and their families/whānau, with emphasis on collaboration, compassion, and respect.

We value people-centred planning, strong governance relationships, and continuous improvement, and will provide training and development to help you thrive in this

Qualifications

  • Experience leading service delivery in not-for-profit or related setting.
  • Understanding person and family directed planning concepts.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills.
  • Experience with disabled people and their families is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Provide effective leadership and supervision to staff.
  • Drive quality improvement activities and contribute to regional planning.
  • Contribute to the region’s strategic/business planning, and lead implementation of agreed organisational change.
  • Lead and coordinate high quality services that are creative, flexible, and responsive to the needs of disabled people and their families/whānau.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with disability consumer groups and governance.
