Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Desktop Support Analyst to join the IT Services NZ & Asia team in Christchurch. This on-site role handles desktop, server, and application support, with occasional travel to other NZ offices.

You will manage tickets, deploy software, and assist IT projects, ensuring IT operations run smoothly. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of IT experience, qualifications in IT, and solid knowledge of Windows 10/11, Office 365, ITIL, and networking.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in an IT environment as a Desktop Analyst or similar role.
• Industry qualifications in Information Technology or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Office 365, ITIL practices and networking.

Responsibilities

• Provide user-facing operational support for desktops and applications.
• Resolve tickets within agreed timeframes.
• Conduct queue management and proactive maintenance of designated services.
• Test and deploy software updates and security patches to servers and workstations.
• Participate in IT projects as an operational resource.
• Work outside standard business hours and travel between offices as required.
• Install and maintain AV systems in NZ offices.
