Job summary

Land & Sea NZ Ltd, based in Waitakere (Auckland region), seeks a Data & Purchasing Coordinator to advance our data and digital strategy for purchasing execution across retail and e-commerce. You will ensure data accuracy, optimise systems, and apply AI tools to daily tasks and longer-term initiatives.

The role collaborates with purchasing and operations teams, develops reporting, and supports inventory forecasting and supplier performance monitoring in a fast-growing outdoor retail business.

Qualifications

• Background in data with advanced Excel and SQL skills.
• Proficiency with AI tools and digital platforms to support purchasing and reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead purchasing processes: raise purchase orders, track deliveries, monitor stock levels.
• Collaborate with suppliers to plan and place orders aligned with sales and stock demand.
• Develop and maintain reporting tools on a custom BI platform.
• Maintain sales, stock, and customer data, including SQL queries, to support purchasing and reporting.
• Support the execution of Land & Sea's data and digital strategy for purchasing and e-commerce.
• Implement and use AI tools to improve inventory forecasting and purchasing efficiency.
• Monitor supplier performance and delivery timeframes to minimise stockouts and overstock.
• Maintain ERP, POS and other digital systems ensuring data accuracy and accessibility.
• Prepare reports and dashboards with SQL-based queries for purchasing and operations.
