Responsibilities

• Maintain sales, stock, and customer data, including SQL queries, to support purchasing and reporting.
• Support the execution of Land & Sea's data and digital strategy for purchasing and e-commerce.
• Implement and use AI tools to improve inventory forecasting and purchasing efficiency.
• Monitor supplier performance and delivery timeframes to minimise stockouts and overstock.
• Maintain ERP, POS and other digital systems ensuring data accuracy and accessibility.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and digitally minded Data & Purchasing Coordinator to join our Auckland operations team. This role is focused on advancing our data and digital strategy to help our retail and e-commerce teams make better decisions and operate efficiently, with a strong focus on purchasing execution. You will work closely with purchasing and operational teams, ensuring data is accurate, systems are optimised, and AI tools are effectively applied to support daily tasks and longer-term business initiatives. This is a hands-on role, perfect for someone who enjoys working with data, advanced digital tools, and AI-enabled processes, and wants to contribute to a fast-growing, innovative retail and e-commerce business.

Key responsibilities

Lead the coordination of purchasing processes, raising purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and monitoring stock levels.

Contribute to the Land & Sea buying team and work closely with suppliers to plan and place orders that align with sales and stock demand.

Develop & maintain strong reporting tools built on a custom BI platform.

Maintain accurate sales, stock, and customer data, including writing SQL queries, to support purchasing, stock allocation, and reporting.

Support the execution of Land & Sea's data and digital strategy, providing reliable support to purchasing and e-commerce teams.

Implement and use AI tools to improve inventory forecasting and purchasing efficiency.

Monitor supplier performance and delivery timeframes to help minimise stockouts and overstock.

Maintain ERP, POS, and other digital systems, ensuring purchasing and product data is accurate and accessible.

Prepare reports and dashboards, including SQL-based queries, for review by purchasing and operational teams.

Identify opportunities to improve purchasing and reporting processes using AI or other digital tools.

About you

Background in data, with advanced Excel skills and a good working knowledge of SQL, able to manipulate, analyse, and present complex datasets.

Proficiency with AI tools and digital platforms to support purchasing, reporting, and operational decision-making.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
